Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

As I said to my Heli Crew in 2009:

I always wanted to ge Heli Skiing, but I thought I'd be in the Heli and hen go skiing, not the other way around.

I hope you had good insurance!

All the best with the recovery, I was skiing (with painkillers) the next season....hope you are too.

Always hits home that a fairly inocuous fall can leave you pretty badly damaged. ACL?

As he was skiing outside of resort boundaries I thought the rule in France was that the helicopter ride is free, however the medial treatment obviously wouldn't be.

Exciting stuff in unfortunate circumstances.

After all it is free Go on u know u want to!

Christopher, most of the medical treatment will be covered by EHIC card, rest by holiday insurance. Yes, the heli would have been free in this case. Just got statement from CPAM for JulesB;s accident two years ago. Cost (none paid by us personally) of just over 10,000€

Weathercam, impressive video. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I guess so. I was going up a drag on a nursery slope today and noticed a little heap in the middle of the slope. The instructor was further down, with the others, shouting encouragement. As he is someone I know quite well, who has just been super-helpful to a very nervous beginner friend of mine, I decided to jump off the lift and pick her up to save him hiking back up. She showed no sign of distress - rather a failure of will, I think. Even when on her feet she showed little sign of moving - I took her hand just to get her started and went down behind her. Perfectly competent little snow-plougher. Just a bit of a wuss. Mind you, she was only about 4.

I suppose big tumbles in powder are not uncommon and if everyone stopped every time someone stacked it they'd never get anywhere.
