Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Quick binding question

Just a quick answer needed, have ordered a pair of Scott skis and marker bindings mail order. The guy asked me my boot size. I quoted the 320 mm figure stamped on the heel of my boot.
Is this the right figureto quote?

It should be.
Some Marker bindings such as the Baron come in either "small" or "large" sizes. Details can be found on the Marker website or in the Volkl (parent company) brochure. It looks like you are a large, so the "guy" will know to order you a "large" binding as well as to set you bindings to the correct setting (I guess you also provided height and weight details for this....).

Thanks for the replies! Yes "the guy" also got my height ,weight etc. Must say I'm looking forward to the new skis. They are Scott crusade in 179. (I'm 5'10/11 and 13 St 8 so hopefully got the length right. I got the skis and bindings at a great price, in fact lower than the price I was going to pay for the skis only before my half term trip.
Another reason why I booked my Easter trip!
