Shocking journalism... Illustrates article insinuating alcohol is the cause with picture of ski tourers in the er resort of Salzburg? Goes on to loosely imply there have been 12 deaths in St Anton. Includes photograph of someone sadly caught in an avalanche where as far as I know there has been no suggestion alcohol played a role...
There may be some important points buried on this, but it is utterly obscured by bad journalism...

What a load of utter rubbish, how can anyone with any conscience link the tragic accident of the 14 year old from Torbay, who got strangled by a piece of clothing caught in a lift, the Death of a 63 year old who hit a rock and a 32 year old pilot killed in an avalanche with booze, there's no evidence to suggest that booze was involved in any of those accidents, in fact there are only two deaths that they report which can be linked to booze, I wonder how many people have died in the UK since December last year due to booze, probably at least that many.
Oh well I don't read the Mail normally and I certainly never buy it, I guess this is one of the reasons why

T6ypical Daily mail norea information just a headline, no reports on any actual death in Austria or anywhere else for that matter. Surprised it didn't balme it on imigrant population, gays or anybody else not in the right wage bracket.
