Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Scott.....grrrrrrrr

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Last Wednesday at about 4:30 we pulled into Krazy Kangaruh, clicked out, took the lids off and walked in.....nothing of note happening here we thought, head for the Mooserwirt....put lid on, put skis down and clicked in, close lid...try again, try again and again....take lid off, look at clasp....small red spring loaded button for locking gone, click out....trace short amount of steps taken...nothing.

Call to several Alber outlets, nothing...call to several Intersport outlets, nothing...call to Scott testcentre in Gampen (this has to be the place!), told to try the main place under the Posthotel, head for the main place under the Posthotel, nothing....search the Internet for replacement pieces, nothing....emailed Scott, nothing.

So in short.....a two season, two hundred euro limited edition Peak Perfomance Scott Fission helmet....BINNED.

dazman, can't you replace the whole clasp with a different one?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

holidayloverxx, If only....the clasp straps are stuck into the helmet, thus rendering it impossible to get the clasp out with out breaking either the clasp or cutting the strap.....cutting the strap is out too, you wouldn't be able to get a decent stitch on the cut....it's a trip to shop I'm afraid which I don't mind, it's just this helmet is pretty unique and to bin it for something as small as a little button is damn annoying.

If it's a Peak Performance helmet why are you giving Scott a hard time?! They may of made it but surely your 'gripe' should be with them not Scott. Scott (uk) are normally very good at warranty / customer support - Give Stuart a ring on 01670 712129 and I'm sure he will sort something out for you.
