Good evening snowheads. My wife will be having her b'day whilst we are in La Plagne and i was wondering if anyone can suggest a good restaurant for an evening meal. We will be staying in Plagne 1800 but have own car so can travel.
Thanx
Peter

ate at la chaudron (plagne centre for lunc) and loup blanc (1800) a couple of weeks ago, both pretty decent but nothing particularly special...
For lunch on her birthday then find the piste map, go to the bottom right and look for a restaurant a little bit above montalbert, if sunny then go there for lunch. If not sunny the go to les arcs and go to chalet de l'arc above arc 2000.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi,
Have a look at the Petit Chaperon Rouge in Plagne 1800 for her birthday. It's a family-run savoyard restaurant with local specialities like fondu and raclette. All done really well and a nice friendly atmosphere.
Hope you have a great holiday!

Thanx everyone. I know all the places you have suggested and agree that Chaperon Rouge is the best of the lot. I was just hoping that in the 2 years since we were last in La Plagne there would be a knew option, or perhaps someone would know a 'must do' restraurant in elsewhere in the valley.

I would get the cable up to Aime and walk down the piste to the restaurant thats at the top of the 1800 chair (bug what is it called?!) the best in that area, by far.

Au Bon Vieux Temps - still very good, excellent ambience and food good. Was there a couple of weeks ago.
Also they will pick you up and drop you off afterwards so you don't need to worry about driving.
Happy Birthday to your wife!
