I thought I had it all sussed. Then I print off my booking today. There are four paying passengers. Three hold and one ski bag booked. On my paperwork it has a section saying "I have three hold bags booked, total 80kg" then a separate section saying I have one ski bag booked. From the sticky each hold bag allows 20kg baggage and the ski bag adds 12kg. Where on earth has 80kg come from? Does that include the skis or not?

Shimmy Alcott, did you book the skis under a seaparate booking ?
4 passengers means 4 x 20 kg spread over 3 bags, not sure what has happened to your extra 12 kg though ?
... maybe ...

I admit I was dubious about all this but this seems to back up the original thread. You have 20kg for each passenger plus the 12kg for the ski bag.
I think...................
Good luck!

The key point to note is that travelling with a ski bag only (or any sporting goods) - ie no checked in bag - increases your allowance to 32kg - NOT a paltry extra 12kg, which only applies if you have a checked in bag as well as the skis. This means that you are actually entitled to take a total of 92kg, made up as follows:
x3 hold bags @max 20kg each = 60kg
x1 ski bag @max 32kg
TOTAL 92kg
The above is all confirmed on the easyjet diagram/sticky .

there are 5 of us travelling, 2 hold bags booked @ 20kg each and 2 board bags at, what i presume are an extra 12kg each, my booking confirmation states we can put a maximum of 64kg in the hold.
wher does the 32kg come in to it apart from a combination of a hold bag plus a ski/snowboard bag.........
