Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

KeepHerLit, weather prospects still pretty uncertain. All the areas you mention will be chock a block - French holidays - so you might need to be very flexible about finding accommodation. At the moment there isn't anywhere close to Geneva with "plenty" of snow but fingers crossed - might be a bit this coming week.

Austria might be a better bet accommodation and snow-wise, but a bit of a schlep from Geneva.

KeepHerLit, your other thread mentions St Anton having good snow. This thread http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=64454&start=480 suggests that there, too, they are fairly keen for some fresh, though much of Austria did get some good snow after 10/12 January, which is when the last snow of any significance at all fell on much of France and Switzerland.

However, the fact that it's not a good season for snowfall seems to be keeping some of the holiday crowds away, so you might be lucky with accommodation, with some cancellations.

Head for the Aosta Valley good snow conditions and not to much of a drive from Geneva if you hiring a car base yourself in Aosta nice city cheaper accom than the ski resorts and then visit all the resorts in the Valley no more than an hour drive each day. If not head for La Thuile or Courmayeur both good resorts and linked to each other by free ski bus (approx 20 minutes) good access to plenty of pistage and good snow levels.

Richiavo, yes, what a good idea - Italy seems to have had the best of the snow recently.
