Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for a group to join

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to go skiing late March/early April and wondered if anyone had a group that I could join. I'm pretty laid back and easy going and a fairly competent skiier Shock))

Ideally, I would be interested in any dates between 27th March and 9th April, and both short breaks and week breaks.

Cheers

Paul

We've a group of 5 (all male) that's going to Zermatt on Sunday 20 March for a week. It's a package deal with a catered chalet for 6, with flight options from a number of airports, subject to availability.

The intention is to ski as a group off-piste with a guide and we have a fully qualified mountain guide booked for 4 days. As you can appreciate, when skiing off-piste in a group it is important that all the group is of a similar standard to avoid a weaker or less able skier holding up the group. But we are not experts or mad dare devils - we're 'advanced' standard skiers who can ski most off-piste areas (but not narrow couloirs!) at a good speed without too many falls. We will use the lift systems in the Zermatt/Cervinia area, so no skinning or 'ski-touring' type stuff but we may occasionally climb on foot for short distances to access slopes only reached this way. If this appeals, I/we can give you more details.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi,

Thanks for the details but I think off-piste skiing might be a little too adventurous for me, and I would probably hold the group up.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

The 12th March may be a little too early for you, but if not, I have a chalet with several single people book in so it should be a sociable week.. see the signature of interested.

Sorry for the self plug..
