Poster: A snowHead
|
I need to get some goggles & gloves. I looking to spend around £20 to 30 on each, hopefully something that's worth more on sale.
I don't like lenses which are bright colours of orange or pink etc, but a little tinted orange or pink etc is fine. I think I prefer sliver or bronze light coloured though. Not dark lenses though either
Does anyone have any recommendations for either I have found these goggles but can find a review for them anywhere. Has anyone here used them?

Any advice for be much appreciated!

I think you may struggle to get a good pair of either for your budget - though oddly, I did find a very decent pair of M&S gloves for £15 which I wore for 3 weeks skiing, in a wide range of temperatures. Biggest pig with some gloves is getting them on and off when your hands are sweaty - and it's tricky to check that in a shop. As for the goggles, if they are genuine Scotts they should be fine - but I'm not sure how good they would be in low/flat light.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

dominicw78, lens colour is about functionality. Have a look at the manufacturer's site and pick a lens which corresponds to the conditions in which you want to use your goggles.

Get a subsription to fall line ski magazine, this is about £30 I think and comes with a really good pair of Scott goggles that would cost far more than the magazine subsciption.

If it's of any assistance I took a different type of Scott Goggles from sports outlet and I am pretty sure they are genuine.
Are those leather gloves really worth trying? I've seen several threads that mention them.

Megamum, I've got a pair, froze my hands off the only time I tried using them for skiing.

I thought this implied that he felt they might not be, I just thought I'd give the shop some support and say that I didn't think there was anything wrong with the ones I bought.
