Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

salomon x wing fury (original version 2007) question

I have these in a 180cm, in the flat and about the mount them up with my old fks bindings. I have noticed that they have a really really forward boot centre...more forward than my 179 line prophet 90's.

as i have not skied them....and there seems to be a few comments on epicski about forward mounting point. Anyone skied them and can comment......... as may put a rental binding on them instead.

Skied the 08-09 version in 170. Loved em, but i dont remember the bindings. They were probably Z12s as those are what Sally have used the rest of the years.

I had no problem with the forwardness of the mounting, but i generally adapt my skiing style to match the situation/skis/terrain/etc.
On piste they handle it all, you can ski these really hard and agressively, and very forward, but you can also kick back and sit a litle in the back seat and cruise around.
Off piste in powder (I had about 6-12 inches with a slight crust) i skied normally but also found i could sit in the back seat too (almost like one would on old straights)

If you have a good set of rental bindings, then they might be worth mounting so you can adjust to the position you prefer.

carroz, If you want some Z12s on a Smart track I have some you can have for the cost of posting them to you! Used to have some Fury's - great ski - totally underestimated imo.

If Carroz does not want them; I've just knackered by Z12's on my teaching skis (V12's).
