Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm travelling on March 12th.... but to where? We are doing it late deal style this year, (booking around Feb 25th) hopefully to save a few pennies but more importantly to be surrounded by lots of fresh(ish) snow. We want to go to Europe, could anybody tell me where has the best snow? or where there is snow forecast in the coming days/weeks? What resorts are high altitude or just have generally good snow records?

I know its a few weeks away still but any help would be greatly apprecited so we can get the most out of those precious 6 days on the slopes!!!

Thanks Very Happy

Burtonboy83,

If you pick a high enough resort 1800M plus you will be fine, look at Les Sybelles region, which includes La Toussuire, Corbiere ect. 300KM of piste and cheaper than other resorts, you could also look at Val Cenis which has a good snow record where even in the bad year of 2007 reputably had 95% of its ski area open.

But if you're doing a late deal (very good idea) why do you need to know where? I'd leave it till a fair bit later than 25 February, too, or it's hardly a late deal.

Where the snow is now is absolutely no indication of where it's going to be in mid March - that's more than a month away!
