A few of us are looking to book 5 nights in Austria in the next 2 weeks for the end of Feb.
We cant decide between Flachau or Serfaus.
Would appreciate any opinions on either resort.

Chick, Flachau or somewhere in its region will probably be cheaper and easier to find a 5 night trip. You are looking at a relatively high season period due to the beginning of Fasching approaching (week beginning 26th is still a High season one) and the week beginning 5th March is definitely the Fasching week when many Germans will be on holiday (Serfaus has a high proportion of regulars from southern Germany).
You will get a huge range of skiing in the Flachau region with a super infrastructure linking them either by bus or train.

We have only been to Serfaus, and can really highly recommend it, especially with children.

Chick, might be tough to get 5 nights in Serfaus for 'a few of you', especially if you want to span a weekend

lizski.We are a group of 3 looking for a nice resort with good skiing and fairly decent Apres.
We have done Ischgl,Kitz,Mayerhoffen,Saalbach and Schladming in the last few years and looking for somewhere new this year in Austria.

Chick, If you are good skiers then Serfaus every time. If you can get accomodation that is. Five nights is difficult in any resort! You can stay in Fiss or Ladis as well though.

Chick, go to Flachau and enjoy the "Gaudi" at the bottom of the Red 8 or the Space Jet. Not quite Mooser or KK standard but getting close, especially at the weekends!
Take a look at booking.com for available accommodation, then go directly to the guest-house/Pension offering it to avoid paying the charges (the owners like that too as they pay a charge as well).
