Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Eurostar - Help

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi Guy's

I may have to travel back to the UK this weekend from Bour St Maurice. The easiest option appears to be the Eurostar from Bourg to London then onward north via East coast trains.

Does anybody have any good links to obtain the most competative price ?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've looked at (never got round to trying anything yet) Seat 61 for train travel to Europe. Most (all?) pages contain links on how to get the ticket (but I dunno if all options are valid for someone abroad already).

I don't think there are any discount re-sellers of Euro* tickets (but would love to be corrected!), so it's as easy to go direct through their website. The alternative for you is to get a french (SNCF) train (either a sleeper or a TGV) to Paris and then a Euro* from there...I don't know which would be the cheaper option but worth looking at both.

stewart woodward, ChrisWo's solution will definitely be cheaper, and possibly more likely to have seats at this late notice.

We use Rail Canterbury, www.rail-canterbury.co.uk : their phone people are fast and efficient and generally have access to all the various timetables across Europe so can work the combos for you. Should be able to internet the tickets too.

www.qjump.co.uk is quite good for fares within the UK.
