Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys

Ok so I have fallen in love with skiing having had 4-5 hours on the dry slope with a couple of lessons.

I will be getting more lessons of course and putting as many hours as I can on the slope

However, the more stuff I can earn about skiing the better, anyone recommend any dvds, books, online guides where I can learn more about the theory?

Thanks Smile [/img]

I have these, they're excellent, would recommend basic edging and basic balance to start with.

billy_boy_2010, The ski clubGB/basi Beginners and beyond DVD is a fairly good basic level DVD with a fairly good format for using as a 'watch and then go try'

Good to get plenty of lessons in till you can start to 'feel' when things are right and things are wrong.

as you get more confident, get some video of your skiing and start to look at your posture and the positions of your skis.

also as pam w, says the Yourskicoach website and dvds are worth a look

Where are you based? there may be some snowHead 's happy to have a few slides with you
