Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

2007 model, have been looking for some reviews but haven't had much luck. Wondered if anyone on here has a pair or skied on them before? Do you rate them? They look the dogs, but would like some feedback in them before I purchase. Thanks in advance wink

i skied an older version. thought they were ok but a bit "slight" for my tastes. i ended up getting the sx11 which were stiffer
i was about 90kg at the time and like stiffish skis which is why the sx11 was for me. if you are lighter and/or want an easier ride, the sx9s might be the ticket

I used to have some but a much older model (circa 2002 I suspect). I bought them on fleabay for £75, used them for a week's ski holiday then sold them on fleabay for £92!! Who needs ski rental?

They were a lovely smooth fast ski but a little too fast for me, but they might have been a bit too long at 174cm.

Swell, I had the the '06 SX10s cracking on-piste ski and could hook up and carve like little demons, loved 'em I was about 110Kg and they suited me. The 9's are a bit softer and will flap at very high speed. What's your weight, skill level and the ski length?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the replys, "What's your weight, skill level and the ski length?" 95kg Strong skier, pretty aggresive, ski mainly on piste 70/30 is being genourous and like carving fast! Ski length im looking to purchace is 166cm. Are the skis particularly heavy? was looking at some B5's but got put off by their weight. Cheers wink

Swell, They're not particularly light. I had the 10 Ti's very stiff and grippy but not much fun in the soft stuff. The B5s would probably suit you a little better. they are heavy but are as stable as a stable thing flat out or cranked over and still fat enough to float. If the 9s are cheap, try them and put em on fleaBay if they're not man enough for you.

Swell, I agree with Masque, they're not particularly light. But hey I'm a girlie and I carried mine with relative ease.

I had a pair of 9's (I think (2006 model).... anyhoo - loved the skis, pretty grippy. I'm just over the 100kg mark and was on about 170's ish and found them poo-pants in powder but awesome gs carvers.... (infact they are just a GS ski in disguise but thats a different story).
Bit flappy in straight line speed but you could rely on them to turn nicely.
They are in the heavier ranges of skis but no-where near the heaviest!

I miss mine a bit - they were 'relieved' from outside a bar - but probably cos it took me 2 weeks to notice as we had a dump the next day and I was on pow skis for the rest of the time! DOH!
