Well, maybe not, but it appears he's taken to riding mountain bikes: he's pictured here with Hans "No Way" Rey, a man whose history of MTB riding is as seminal as Plake's skiing career...

Very Funny this year was the Tour de France in Avoriaz/Les Gets. Police chasing him down the road infront of the leaders while he wheelied down the high street. legend.

Aah, so that probably was Plake that a friend of mine saw in Chamonix a couple of weeks ago! He said he'd spotted a guy who looked like Glen Plake, but wasn't totally sure...will tell him to get an autograph next time

Hans is a legend... he's done some crazy biking in his time. The cliffs of Moher on the west coast of ireland will always stick in my mind as something outstandingly crazy at the time.

I've taken a bike there. But not like that!

Fattes13, shame. I've stood on it and it was a very impressive place to take in a view from!

There's a better photo of that with Peaty too. It's plastered everywhere. Great piece of riding and no lifejacket either

shoogly, my dad was in a VC-10: flight engineer in a BOAC crew accepting the planes, flying out of Shannon. Not a flight you'd have wanted to be a passenger on, I think!

To reassure yourself that Glen is still and skier and a punk, you might want to pick up a copy of The Altus magazine, published in Chamonix (unfortuantely no web address), as Glen is one of this seasons featured interviewees.
He's still dining out on 'The Blizzard of Aahh's' and busy avoiding California police. So MTB is just a super pastime perhaps.
Cool photo shoogly,
