Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mt Fort and Mt Gele

 Poster: A snowHead

Had morning pass for Verbier. Wasn't expecting too much after the warm weather and rain but pleasantly surprised.

Backside in good condition

Joined up with some Swedes hiking up into Superbowl. Nice track in Poubelle

Nice packed powder in here. Perfect conditions for rockers

North face in condition but windblown

Traversed across to join up with catwalk. Stunning scenery up here

Great snow in catwalk

Even better the 2nd pitch

Mt Gele was open and Martin joined us so went to see if the couloirs were in condition. No bananas today

Stairway looked in good nick, especially that steep face over on the right....

Carried on past banane and found some a better looking chute

Jens pretty handy on telemarks

Too fast for the photographer

Martin goes in deep on the skinny skis

A quick drink in the Carlsberg and home to take Logan swimming. North facing stuff above 2300m is still in great nick as are the pistes. Felt like Spring!

Another bluebired day so Logan was hived off to Les Schtroumpfs and Millsy got the Kuros out.....

Banane virgin

Easy there mum....

Better snow after the kink

Nice on the sides

Out of control

I can find fresh (crust) too!

Another Gele lap after lunch but some daft bu99er suggested heading down to La Chaux. Death Crust! Tim finally finds some gentle pow at the bottom to practice his new hobby....

The sun and wind are doing their best to consolidate the snow but still lots of fun to be had. Some fresh before next weekend would be nice...

Gsyfreerider, Well clearly Millsy is a far more attractive skier than me. Wonder how long until the little fella leaves me for dust too....

Glacier du Petit Mont Fort on Sunday.
Never seen the glacier exposed before, shows how thin the snowpack is.

Yup gathered that! I've worked out the best way to be better than my kids is to delay the start of their skiing career for another year, just holding off the inevitable!

There is something magical about solo back-country.
Not a person in sight, the absolute silence apart from the whisper of your skis through the powder.
Off the back of Mont Fort today
