Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Hi guys,

As none of you know me, I'm Jonny and a frequenter of these forums (I just never post!) and after being convinced to ski not snowboard in our holiday to Val Thorens last week I have to admit...I absolutely bloody love it! I had skiied for all of about 3days previously, so would classify myself as a complete and I was swiftly dragged over some blues by my understanding girlfriend, had 6hours worth of lessons over 3 days and before you know it (and by that I mean mid week) I was breezing over the reds and not doing too badly over the blacks. All apart from those moguls - not going to lie, I did them - but not stylishly. Oh, and did a little bit of off-piste and park too!

I'm looking to get some more skiing done in Cairgorms and Glenshee and thinking abuot gradually aquiring some kit (namely boots first) then some decent second hand ski's etc. Would it be possible to have some advice on some boot advice (and yes, I have searched) - but I'm not too sure what I should get for a 'fast progressor' and being quite small and light for a bloke; which I believe is called the racing snake build Very Happy.

You don't choose, you go to a bootfitter and tell them about you and your skiing, they measure the size and SHAPE of your feet then tell you what you're having.
