Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

New Year's Day changeover

Does anyone know the likely changeover days for New Year, 2006. New Year's day is on a Sunday, so are the appartments or hotels likely to be changing over on the Saturday? We're hoping to fly into Geneva on New Year's Eve and get into Les Arcs on Saturday 31st or Sunday 1st.

Hywel, it will vary but we've switched to Sat transfers for Xmas week and extended our New Years week to 8 days to get back to a Sunday transfer.

We are going to Tignes for Christmas Week with Mark Warner, departure if Friday 23rd and return is Friday 30th. I guess their New Year week will be a 9 nighter to get them back to Sunday transfers.

Morzine, we are a family of four (two pre school children, got to do it now before schooling starts, really I had no choice!!! wink )its a logistical nightmare but hopefully worth the effort. We signed the lease last week for a small chalet in a little hamlet just outside Morzine town. I'm pleased with the speed ferries deal its going to save me some money in a sea of expense - pun intended ! Very Happy 169 sleeps to go

Hywel, All I can say is that I hope it's not a much of a b***s up as last year. We had people coming on every day of the week (for 2 weeks) staying for 2/3/4/5/6/7/8/10 days - what a logistical nightmare! I'm advising people with families to try to travel on Sunday 1st when the travelling should be easy, and everyone should still be asleep when they arrive in resort! Laughing
