Poster: A snowHead

Hi Guys,
You probably get this type of question a lot, but I am looking for some advice as to a destination in Europe to ski this year. The last few years I have been skiing in the US and so my knowledge of the European resorts is out of date. Out of Ishgl, Lech and Zermatt, which would people choose.
For reference, I am intermediate/advance skiier. Skied for over 10 years including a season in Kitzbuhel.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Is scenery, nightlife or food most important? Price obviously not a killer!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you like offpiste, go to Lech as the Arlberg rules.

ljsenn, I've been to all 3 and would certainly choose Lech. Great in it's own right and with St Anton 30 mins away (by cab/bus)
Zermatt possibly suffers from having it's various areas not linked, and is also well on the international tourist trail so gets full of punters. Ischgl suffers slightly from large numbers of German stag parties

I've been to none of them, but would certainly choose Lech on reputation. I can really, really, do without German stage parties.

ljsenn,
Been to all three several times, don't thnk any would dissapoint but Zermatt has become seriously pricey recently. Never been bothered by a German stag group but we actually stay just outside Ischgl as it's cheaper. Lech is probably my favourite out of the three for skiing excellent snow record reasonably quiet and some decent off piste.

If you're heading to Lech, try to stay in Oberlech if you can. Ski in ski out. Absolutely fantastic place and better than Ischgl in my experience.
