Am headed there on the 21st and its our first time to Andorra so would welcome a snow conditions report when you get back and any do's and dont's.

I'm currently in Arinsal, Andorra. Been over to Arcalis and Pal the last couple of days - pistes on both were fine with the snow cannons working overtime, looking very bare on the edges and the forecasts not looking great. I know some people where I am is worried for Christmas, but your trip is a while off yet.

Looking a bit sad at the moment but that can all change in a couple of days and snow is predicted for this weekend.
I have had some of the best powder in my life around the Grau Roig bowl and down to Soldeu.

Just seen the forecast for Soldeu for the upcomming week and thankfully the temperatures are dropping bigtime, and they have forecast upto 25cms early next week......... could make us very very happy! fingers crossed as we all well know, alot can happen between now and then!

Smokin Joe, We have had the same on almost every trip we have done to Pas. Some years it has snowed so much the pisties can't get to work and the whole resort is ball deep powder. One metre dumps are quite common.
The best snow in Andorra is at the mid to end of March when the Atlantic equinox storms roll in but its record is pretty solid for the whole season.

This makes me happy and ofcourse i ignore the forecasts that show no snow and rising temperatures.

(haven't bothered to read the whole post)
i arrived here on friday and it has been quite warm, but you were able to ski and snowboard on most pistes - they have their snowcanons running most of the time.
and yesterday and today it turned really cold! reckon it's been down to -20 degrees celsius!
and there is talk about a meter of snow falling withing this week.
so we are looking forward!

Anybody out there right now? snow reports are not looking good, 30cms on lower slopes and 50cms on upper?!

To be honest i've never been skiing anywhere before that dosn't have a base less then 100cms! so i'm guessing maybe i'm just not used to seeing levels like that.....i was under the impression that with only 30cms as a base without out anytime at all you will start seeing brown/grass patches everywhere?! maybe i've got that wrong........
