Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Servicing in the UK?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi guys, was wondering if any of you knew anywhere that serviced skis in the uk?

Preferably as close as possible to Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, as the parents are gonna have to get it done for me as I'm out of the country until the season starts...

Any reccomendations would be brilliant.

Thanks a million,

sn0wst0rm, I'm in Peterborough which isn't that far from Wellingborough. Tallington Lakes Dry Slope near Stamford do a decent job although I do my own now. Only problem is that they usually take a few days which would mean 2 visits.

If the condition Tallington keep the hire skis reflects their service I'd definately drive a few miles to avoid them!

Not trying to push service work away - but just thought I would mention you also have -
Two Seasons - Northampton
Boarders Boards - Weedon Bec (Just outside Northampton)

Can't say what the service is like at the above shops but am sure other snowheads will post if they have used them.

For us because we are based in a small country village in the middle of nowhere - if we have a racer/recreational skier bring their skis down around lunchtime - depending on workload i normally direct them to the nice cosy village pub just down the road, they can then have lunch and a drink in front of an open log fire and i give them a ring/text when the work is complete, this then cuts down on fuel costs on collection etc.

But as mentioned above you do have those other shops which will be closer for your parents but not sure what the service is like.
