Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes/Val d'Isere 11 or 12 Dec

Ok so got some time off work and thought about going either to Tignes or Val d'Isere for a week starting on 11 or 12 Dec. Some nice deals out there so would like to make the most of them. Ideally would like to be based in Tignes le Lac/Val Claret or Val d'Isere. Have been thinking about going with YSE (http://www.yseski.co.uk/) but open to other ideas as well.

A few words about myself. Early thirties male based in London so any London airport is fine, however ideally Gatwick, intermediate skier, mostly reds but will do blacks as well. Like to get up quite early in the morning to make the most of the limited time on the slopes, and get back quite late within reason. Afterwards a pint or two after dinner. Very easy to get along with, and happy to ski either by myself or with others.

As the departure date is getting closer would like to get everything sorted say by midweek. Feel free to send a message if you're interested!!

I'm desperate to go out Dec 11/12th.
55 with 36 years ski experience. Share the same perspective as you re ski holidays. Girlfriend and usual ski mates tied up with Christmas, so slumming it on this site.
Open to Val or Tignes, know them well, also Anton or 3 valleys.
This is a bona-fide offer to save on single skier fees, or will be booking best solo offer of £600 to Meribel. Shame, when all twin offers are closer to £300.
Based in Southampton, so Gatwick fine.

I'm looking to get away this w/e, there's a few deals around for sat/sun and some mon-mon deals, I have time to ski due to hopefully short term unemployment so I'm looking at one of the ~£300 deals around, I'm in yorkshire but apart from time the coach links to Gatwick are better than local airports.

Hi all

Are any of you booked up? I'm on my sweeney todd for a week in Tignes from 12th to 19th. Have any of you booked up?

Am female, early 30s, intermediate (reds and some blacks) and similar attitude to Finface - like to get the max out of my ski days. So anyone in Tignes that week who'd like a ski buddy or even meet up for a drink one of the evenings?

MissRibena, When I told another snowHead that I was heading for Tignes "on my Larry" it did cause some confusion and merriment. I think that "Sweeney Todd" might have had a similar effect, sort of a cockney rhyming mixed metaphor Madeye-Smiley Toofy Grin

But, I am going to Tignes on my Jack Jones from 12th to 19th. Staying with MountainSun in Tignes Les Boisses. I plan to take advantage of any guided days organised by MountainSun and hopefully tag on to other groups from the chalet, but if you're stuck and don't mind skiing with an ageing lardy bloke then let me know snowHead
