Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We are going to Aviemore in January fora couple of nights, 2-3 guys, looking at £25-£30 pppn.

Just looking for somewhere to lie down in between skiing and drinking, not looking for the Ritz.

Has anyone a personal recommendation? There appears to be plenty of likey looking candidates available.

Thanks.

sabreboy, I'm in the Cairngorm Guest House as we speak and it's lovely. £66 a night for two in a superior room. So quiet thought its been full and has 12 rooms and a very warm ski/boot room. If you've not been here before feel free to ask lots of Q's on the logistics of the area.

sabreboy, We have always stayed at the Kila b&b right next door to the Cairngorm hotel. Dave ,the owner is the perfect host and a wealth of Knowledge on the mountain conditions. I'm pretty sure it's still £25 p.p.p.n and he cooks a mean full scottish breakfast.

I can recommend The Garden Park www.garden-park.co.uk. It's not in Aviemore but Grantown on Spey, just up the road. The owners are really down to earth and great hosts, comfy beds and the breakfast is great. There are a number of good eateries & pubs in the town - a great Inidian, Sylhet Brasserie - www.sylhetbrasserie.co.uk. Prices are in the range of what you are looking for too!

Thanks fellow snowHead , it's good to have the opinon of those who have stayed (or are currently staying) in those places.

I'm sure one of them will suit us nicely.

Now all we need is one of our party to sort out his weekend pass from his wife...

Thanks.

check out aviemorebunkhouse, might be just the ticket, great pub next door for dinner and pints and 5 mins walk from the main drag. kila as mentioned above, in a perfect position, you could walk to half a dozen bars and restaurants in your slippers from there

sabreboy:

Vermont Guest House. Stayed there about six times. £27 in winter 2009/10. Warm, comfortable, friendly proprietors, decent location - and definitely has at least one room that sleeps three (although that includes a double bed Toofy Grin).
