Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is anybody else from here in La Rosiere over New Year? Also any recommendations for instructors there (yes, I've done a search).
Adrian
ps. I've been before and liked it, so don't bother with the anti-LaRos' posts!

Not there, but did one NY in La Ros.

Specific instructors? Haven't a clue but, on balance, I preferred Evo2. Not sure there's a lot to chose between them and ESF and its been suggested that they sometimes draft help from one another in a pinch.

Not sure if they still do it, but there used to be a torch-lit procession down from the top of the Lievre Blanc drag list (bottom of Perdrix?) where one could pay a few Euros and ski down with their own flaming stick! Health and Safety? Not a hint of it. Damn good fun. I'm pretty sure it was on New Years Eve, well in time for kid's bedtime.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was ther a few years ago for Xmas and they did that on Xmas eve along with a display by the instructors and them a rugby match... on skis! Shocked I didn't have a go though as it was only my third time skiing and safety would have gone out the window.

adithorp, I haven't had lessons in La Rosiere but word is that both ESF and Evo 2 have good reputations. Friends have spoken highly of Pierre (ESF Les Eucherts)

adithorp, Simon Atkinson is the deputy director of the ESF in La Rosiere, he also runs a ski school affilated to the ESF specifically for English clients. Johnny Wilkinson is an English instructor in ther ESF cadre but any of the established instructors are very good, Nicholas Gaide speaks good English and is a very good instructor (ex Olympian) go to www.larosiere.net and click through to ski schools you'll find lots of information, worth booking early as New Year is the big French holiday.
