Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snow Chains for tyres 255/70R18

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Going to the French Alps over Christmas and need to get some chains. I can't seem to find any that are my exact tyre size (255/70R18). Does anyone know if i go for a bigger dimension in one direction and a smaller dimension in another direction that would then fit my tyres??

As you can imagine, most snow chain companies at the moment are too busy to give any advice.

Thank you

Klack and Go chains ( quattros in my case ) are brilliant and are adjustable to different sizes wheels so can be moved to another car when you change in the future. Easily the easiest to put on and off BUT not cheap. Worth it though and you may need them in the UK it seems ! I purchased mine through Snowchains. co.uk as above

In that case there must be at least two "Easily the easiest to put on" Smile because I've used both the Klack and Go and the RUD Easy2Go chains and I think that, if anything, the RUDs are slightly easier to fit, but, in any event, they are both very straight forward to fit and remove (also very important!).
