Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

manicpb, go fishing. Tackle shop in Boat (or at least there was 25 years ago). Or there's the fishery on the ski rd Aviemore. Or go clay shooting (further up the ski rd). Or, like someone else said, go for a langlauf/walk around somewhere picturesque. Actually, on second thoughts... pub.

Or swimming at the pool at the MacDonald resort - pretty expensive as I recall, but another option.

X country ski, skin up the hills (gear for hire in Aviemore) & some nice easy terrain over Dava way if u don't wanna go into the mountains, head over to the Highland Wildlife Park or Landmark or, if open, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, the Highland Folk Museum (you could also take a moody snowy walk round Ruthven barracks and admire the views of the hills), watch a film in Aviemore or head to Inverness and go to the multiplex and do some shopping or maybe go to the theatre ... hell, there's loads to do, just ask at the Tourist Info in Aviemore for more ideas and grab a What's On guide.

BTW, the place to go for a swim is the Dalfaber Country Club pool not the McDonald rip-off place.

Never mind, should be epic tomorrow! Very Happy

How's the place in Boat by the way?

That is exactly what we did yesterday (Sunday) when Cairngorm was closed. Well worth it, something I haven't done for 30 years and the prepared tracks through the forests were great. Well done Bill.

Glad to have some pics of the ski-ing to remind us ...long after the memories of the 13 hour drive back from Aviemore to N Yorks via Dundee are forgotten Mad

manicpb, get down to the Old Bridge Inn for a meal. Superb food and drink. Other than that; chill out, browse Ellis Brigahms, drool over the Norrona ski gear at Mountain Spirit, or as other have said skin up or walk round Loch Morlich
