skimottaret, it's says there's a "discrete pouch" for batteries. who knows, it might be discreet too? Will someone please buy some and test them out?

if anyone is interested the heated waistcoat actually works - i bought one for a friend ( thinking joke present) a couple of years back
and it actually kept / keeps them warm so i imagine the other stuff works too

Quick question to one of the bootfitters on here. If these insoles heat up to 40C in a few minutes what impact if any would that have on the flex of the boot?

I have some of their gloves and they don't warm up enough for my fingers which have a tendency to go white/numb. Also the battery pouches are not great.. they are a bit loose if you put the pack in one way round and the velcro doesn't stay done up, but they other way round it's hard to get them in the pouch. You have to get them out to switch the heater on/off and you need to do that to conserve battery as the life is only 2-3 hours tops. Tbh my non-heated goosedown gloves are better.
I have to go to Homebase next door to Maplins tonight, so I might have a nose and see what the footbeds look like.

I had a quick look at these while I was in town today. Can't really see them being a lot of good for skiing. The insoles are really cheap and nasty and powered by 2 AA's which sit in a small case which would have to be attached to your boots somehow.

I didn't get the chance to go and look - they sound like the gloves. More a gimmick than a seriously functional item.

). I thought they might be useful to have in normal footwear when walking about ski resorts etc, and if they turn out to be crap as heaters at least they are another set of insoles.
