Music is OK on the lift but find it adversely affects my balance skiing, I had a mate who swore by Nightfever for zip lining moguls, but I think he used to sing it!

Back in Black and You Shook Me have definitely improved my teleing at Hemel in preference to the ambient pap, though I did hear Mark Ronson's Bang Bang Bang which worked quite well.

I don't listen to music while skiing, but the song forever associated with skiing in my mind is Free Falling by Tom Petty. It was played endlessly on the overnight drive down to Se Che for my first ever week skiing.
I also enjoy hearing Banana Splits by The Dickies, which gets played regularly at Hemel.

ok, I'll bite. You're all heathens.
I have an iPod with with me most of the time when traveling on the tube/train, but I do that to cut myself off from what's around me. When I'm in the most beautiful place in the world i.e. the mountains, the last thing I want to do is cut myself off. Why on earth would you deprive yourself of one the 2 major senses when you're in the perfect environment to fully capitalize on them?

OHMSS theme is the track I started off with while boarding. I would listen to it over again. Now I prefer the silence so I can hear the pow crunching under my board - music to my ears!!

Dr John, I don't do it all the time cos most of the time I'm skiing in company, but when I do the last thing I'm doing is depriving myself of the majesty of the mountains, I'm just putting a soundtrack to it.

I usually take my ipod when I ski on my own. It passes the time on the lifts and sometimes it is pretty cool to give yourself a soundtrack. It stops me over thinking.
