- Volkl Mantra
- Volkl Kendo
- Movement Jam
- Salomon Sentinel
- Fischer Watea 84
Just cos that was what was handy - and I wanted TOH to have a wee shot on the Mantras.
Volkls definitely and unsurprisingly the winners. Mantras more fun than Kendos (as we'd expect) definitely taking for a full days test in Cham, once the snow arrives.
Movement Jams - totally uninspiring. Didn't like them at all.
Salomon's OK - The OH reckoned they felt all too Rossignol like.
Fischer's maybe badly prepped of just over tested, but significant lack of edge grip. Crap boots didn't help.
Conclusion 1. confirmation that it's hard to find a poor ski these days
Conclusion 2. Hard to go wrong with Volkl.

Thanks for going to the time to write reviews for all the skis.
Would be interested if you could provide a bit more detail about what you didnt like about the Jams. I have always liked Movements and might consider a pair of these in the future. Too soft? Too stiff? Not grippy? Sluggish? Under / over damped? Thanks!

snowrider, difficult to really relate, only did two very short runs and as related, the boots were so crap there wan't a great deal of detail feedback through the feet.
Just felt rather lifeless. Over damped might come to mind.
