a.j., Hi. It is a while since we have stayed there but if it is a Sport 2000 I would think it will be a decent size. In fact I think it may well be the place I bought my first ever ski boots, so not exactly a small shop. IIRC there may be another smaller place at that part of Villeneuve but it is not somewhere we have skiied down to for a while so not so sure.
There are more ski hire shops about a 5 or 8 minute stagger along at Pre Long in the main Centre Commercial in Villeneuve, where the tourist info is located. Brechu is pretty big and they know their stuff. There is also a Twinner place etc etc. Only bummer is you have to stagger back to your apt to take the skis back.

a.j., there's a Twinner at Aravet, Riquet Sports , which is where hubby bought his first skis which has a few branches across the resort. I'm not familiar with the shop you mentioned.

MarjMJ, TBH, nor do we, although I've gone up in the gondola on a couple of occasions recently to meet up with the boys in the Bercail restaurant (lovely lunch if you haven't tried it).

Hells Bells, could be one for this trip - I do remember you guys talking about it. Am getting pretty excited about going out there - I usually don't think about it till the day before, but it has been a pretty rough autumn so far chez nous. I do have memories of skiing the Mickey run and tw@@@tting myself in a concussy sort of a way on it in some flat light.
