When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Catholic Church in Scotland has wound itself up over an e-mail alleged to have been sent by the head of referee development for the SFA:

The e-mail sent on the day the Pope arrived in Glasgow showed a warning road sign - adult with child - with the legend underneath "Pope coming" or some similar comment. In view of the Pope's lacklustre response to the child abuse scandals, I would have thought the catholic church would have been keeping it's head down !

Jokes aside, I would be more concerned about the sport being somewhat hijacked and translated into some sort of reactionary activity for the "pure youth of tomorrow" ready to surpass themselves in order to reach an ultimate goal. Interesting how our environments such as the oceans, the mountains and the outdoors pursuits related to them have always been the focus of people with peculiar political views.
