Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute or give in and book New Years week?

Hi there.

Husband and I are looking to go for a weeks skiing from 26 December or there abouts. We have the time booked off work but just hanging out to find out where the best snow may be before we book. Not that it's stopped me surfing for deals every weekend and I'm getting itchy feet, I want to book! There are still places going in catered chalets in the resorts I'm considering but it's a bit of a worry as this is a popular week.

We're in our mid 30s with no children and enjoy reds/blacks and a bit of tinkering off piste. We've been to a variety of places and seriously considering going back to somewhere like St Anton or maybe even Zermatt.

What do you think - continue to hang in there or would you book St Anton now? Where else would you take a bet on now for decent snow with a lively resort?

That is the million dollar question. At the moment, nowhere much has any snow, but the forecasts are promising. There is plenty of availability for that week. The TOs are offering all sorts of deals. I think hold on is the right move for now, unless you are very clear about where you want to go. With the holiday dates falling in nightmare places for the TOs this year, there should be late bargains coming up all over the place.

I am going to book something last min for new years week,

A friend of mine who works for Thomas Cook they are expecting pretty to have a lot of hols up for grabs for that week because of the Transfer dates
being all over the place this year.

From what i've seen
