Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Saas Fee Ski school

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Any pearls of wisdom? My partner is a good skier with many years experience, I have two weeks, first of which in Val Thorens was horrendous because of the terrible school and limited Nursery areas, the second in Soldeu was very good because of the excellent school and excellent Nursery areas.
We fancy Switzerland now, and Saas Fee. Skiclub of GB doesn't make it sound very good, in terms of ski school.
What is the experience of the great communal snowhead?
What I want is a couple of hours a day in skischool, probably one to one. I'm still scared. Him Outdoors wants just lots of skiing.

My information is a few years out of date, and may have changed since then.

Public ski school was 10-1, but you mention one-to-one (private lessons?). Meeting up with those in our party who weren't in ski school was a bit inconvenient. There was no choice of ski school.

Nursery slopes were quite extensive and there is some easy skiing at the top of the mountain. In between bits can get tricky in poor snow (take the lift back down at the end of the day?)

I would be concerned about the extent of skiing for your partner.

A nice pleasant car-free village but some hotels are remote from the lifts and nursery slopes (previous thread?)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

sarah42, I went to Saas with a school group this year, and we used the ski school at Saas Grund (we skied at Saas Fee with them most of the week). I really can't think of anything bad to say about them. Time after time they went out of their way to help us, and I would fully recommend them.
