Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arc 1950 Question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've booked an apartment in Arc 1950 with Radisson Blu for my next ski holiday. I booked and paid for it through their website but my card statement is charged to 'PV Arc 1950'.

I specifically booked Radisson having stayed there in the summer a couple of years ago. Does anyone know if Radisson still manage these apartments or are acting as an agent for P&V (or vice versa)? I noticed that Arc 1950 is now advertised on the P&V website but with some additional categories of apartment to Radisson and higher prices. I've had some very mixed experiences with P&V apartments in the past!

Rob T, Raddison had a contract with ITW that ran beyond the sale of Arc1950 to PnV, and so are still the "front name" for half the village.
They also handle a lot of the conference bookings since like you, many corporates prefer to deal with them than the relatively unknown PnV (in that space at least). As a result those blocks pay fees to use the Raddison name/systems, but get additional rental income - swings and roundabouts.

Generally, their involvement at a local level seems to be limited to having their name on the building - although you can use their customer services phone lines and email to get questions answered.

I shouldn't worry tho', the general service levels provided by PnV Premium, the division that now run the village, was of good quality last year: many of the staff transfered across - it is still seen as the flagship. (for a while anyway until they finish rebuilding Avoriaz, when we shall see what happens.)

When are you out?
