Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi.. I'm just wondering if anyone can remember when the skiable conditions ended at the various Scottish ski areas last season? I was up in Glenshee for a day around the start of January but this season, I'll not be able to get up until near the end of January. Just wondering if anyone can cast their mind back to remember if any Scottish ski resorts were still decent around the same time last season? Cheers!

Skiing during the week ended at cairngorm the end of May
weekend skiing continued there until Sunday June 20th
The lift served skiing finished with an amazing day on Monday June 21st (Midsummer's Day)
traditionally the best skiing can be found after the half term holidays. March and early April provide longer sunnier days with lighter winds
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Conditions at the end of last januarywill not necessarily have any predictive value for conditions this season, you would be unlucky not to get skiing late january the actual conditions may or may not be good. What the weather will be like is anyones guess.

January skiing in Scotland can be a wee bit stormy and unpredictable. However don't let that put you off. Keep an eye onthe conditions via the winterhighland website and forum.
