Poster: A snowHead

Doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I use it in conjunction with the BBC and MetOffice site for local forecasts.
What model does metcheck use? Any other good ones?
Particularly interested in rainfall at the moment from a farming perspective.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

johnboy, If you find a good forecast site from a farming perspective let me know. I use the same three as you but with metcheck out im just toggling between the other two continuously, down to 40 acres of spuds tonight, crap weather coming though. I just want to know roughly how much rain is going to fall and when! I've never been able to work out how much rain is represented by one raindrop on a light cloud compared with, say, two raindrops on a dark cloud, I just want to know if the likelihood is for 3mm, 5mm, 10mm or 50mm then I know how much to panic.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

nozawaonsen, indeed - one reason why we stopped using it.
Meteox is good for seeing if it is likely to rain in the next 12 hours.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

There's also theweatheroutlook which I find pretty accurate
DaveMcSki, only 40 acres of tatties left, just a couple of days digging then

e.g., I wish! It's probably 6 days work but with the forecast the way it is, it could be into November till we're finished!
