Hi All, great ski touring in Snowdonia at the moment and plan to get out on Thursday for a trip accross the Carnedda, probably pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd across to Carnedd Llewelyn (if theres time) and then down pen yr Helgi Du/y Braich before a traverse round to the start again.
All welcome if your around, will be myself and another couple of MRT members.
Meeting point and time TBC just give me a call if your interested.

Was about on sunday afternoon, but didn't have enough time to get to the summit before cloud and light made me turn around, going to make an early start tomorrow  and will be definatly taking my board will anyone else be around?

Got out climbing on the Glyders over the weekend. Was quite warm but had a pretty good couple of days. Hopefully the warm spell followed by this new cold period will consolidate the old snow a bit and with a bit more fresh some gullies might come in.

I notice the weather forecast for Brecon shows rising temperatures over the next 48 hrs, but for the time being, there's still snow on the Storey Arms webcam:

Ha ha. Just went over myself. Beautiful day for a walk though!
Nothing in the Black Mountain either, well nothing to turn on.
Let's hope that next week's weather brings us snow.
The one saving grace is the Beacons doesn't need much for it to be on.

Looking out towards mid was and the Shropshire hills dropping into Shrewsbury this afternoon and it's pretty green there too. Just a few patches still showing.

oops sorry mike that was Tuesday the 7th, think the snow was deeper on the south west facing aspects as expected in the prevailing NE winds of the previous weeks

Man I really hope it snows again this weekend. Gonna need some emergency base repair skills for my board though, got a fairly bad core shot the weekend before last up in the beacons. Anyone know a good place for repairs up in the valleys?
