Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

wednesday morning (today)

a van pulled up outside my mates shop in cambridge area, two pallets of shrink wrapped boxes where on the hard standing outside his door (the shop is on an industrial estate)

the lovely owners of said van which had 2 different number plates on it on the CCTV footage slashed the shrink wrap and proceeded to load 10 boxes of clothing into the back of the van before driving off....between arriving in the industrial estate entrance and leaving they were there less than 4 minutes

the thiething Tw@ts has got off with the following

approx 40 pairs of tresspass salopettes mens from XS to XXL in black (fagan pant...what an apt name)
tresspass ladies jacket called "glossy", and "Trio" and pant called "Railin" a full size run in each of those and a few fleeces and some odd sizes of mens jackets

if anyone gets offered stuff like this that might be dodgey then you could contact Simon at Ski Exchange in Dry Drayton on 01954 210984

Know the feeling, 2 seasons ago we were broken in into and they took around £10k's worth of gear. really is a sickening thing to happen at the begining of the season!

I can see where that shop is. Have been meaning to "visit" for a while now on way out of work..

Sounds like the thieves were "prepapred" and knew exactly what was going on... were they "informed" or had spied the delivery ritual before?
Worth checking older CCTV footage maybe..

That is terrible! Why do nasty thieves always pick on the good guys? I have been meaning to pop by Ski Exchange these last few weeks, but I'll make a special effort now. I suspect they might need all the custom they can!

Couldn't you just string up the little sods that do this - however, this is where the internet sometimes works isn't it? I seen this sort of thing posted before and within days those in the retail community and the folks that might be offered gear have often been effective - maybe those on other ski boards can also post something - it might help.

Thanks guys,

Just gutted that this is the second time we have been done over in 2010. We were broken into in April the day before my ski trip.

Seen CCTV footage. They came on site, drove round. Went into carpark, changed numberplates and drove round and cut the shrink wrap took 10 boxes and drove off. This all happened in 4 minutes of coming on site.

The delivery arrived and a customer just popped in. We were away for 2 minutes max. But hey 30 seconds is too much.
Police have numberplate details. I'm sure they won't belong to any registered Vehicle.

Unfortunately this is a crime against a business and so becomes low priority with the Police. After a theft of around 4k of property from my business premises the Police signed it off as no further action required after 48 hours Sad
