Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Snowheads,
Hope someone can help me with a couple of question!.
I was getting restless as its getting closer to the ski season and decided to check out ebay (i hear everyone grown) I noticed a pair of used
Dynastar
Contact RL 164 (think they are 2008) with look nova 10 bindings. I remembered these were the pair i used abroad on a few occasions and liked them alot. I thought what the hell they are only 80 quid so i opened the wallet let the moths out and purchased a pair of used skis (recently sharpend and waxed)
My Spec/lvl
Age 40
Height 5' 10"
Weight 10 stone exact (yes i'm skinny)
Boots 27.0 (sole 315mm) (Salomon mission
ski history last four years, 2 weeks a year, Happy on blues and red in Andorra, forced to hit some blacks in Albach last year (hard going) as i have never done any before last year but was careful and didnt loose it!
Can parallel turn, carve, hocky stop, slide & hop. Thinking of having more lessons this year to improve my technique but on the whole i'm confident but not mental.
Question 1
Have i got the right ski ? for my level
Question 2
Would i be classed as intermediate or still Novice,
Question 3
Could you tell me what din value my binding need to set at (front & rear) should i go to a shop and get them to set up as i'm concerned that they are not accurate as they appear to be set at different numbers on both skis rear and back. I have reset them to din value 5 at the moment front and back as a precaution but would like advice?
Question 4
Have i bought skis too long for my weight would i be better off with 155 or 160
hope someone can help
regards
