Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Dynastar trouble maker 175cm

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi I was wondering if i could get some advice
I used a pai of Dynastar trouble maker skis on holiday last year, and absolutely loved and enjoyed it,
I was looking at a brand new pair for a decent price but they only had 175cm,
im 5 foot 10/11 and weigh 15 and a half stone,
I do like to do it abit of off piste, tree line runs and park,
I was wondering if you could advise me on whether these skis at the 175 length will be any good for me?
thankyou.

probably ok for the park but I would say too short for off piste.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

A bit too short I'd say. Going by your offpiste comments, you may wish to take a look at the Dynastar Big Trouble too, still a very good allrounder and available new and cheap lots of places on the internet (you'd want the 186 in that definately - I'm a the same height but lighter and the 176 is great as an everyday ski but I could do with more length for decent powder days).

^ Echoing the above thoughts for the sake of it, not because it seems required.

Fine for the park, too narrow and a little short for the extra bits, you don't want to be sinking and getting a ski caught under the snow when tree line skiing, it hurts!

You have to consider your weight too as that will make a big difference in the softer stuff.

What length did you ski on Holiday last year?
