Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best time/month for quiver thinning? and shifting other ski gear.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? Broadened the topic title slightly as bags, boots, pants and jackets have all had a refresh.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

ledge, I've never had a quiver to thin but, speaking as a consumer, my thoughts turn to potential bargains at the end of the season: that's when I'm most liable to succumb to temptation. I got a pair of the previous season's skis at the end of last season, at a good price, and was well pleased. On the other hand, maybe I'm not typical: I can see why someone who's preparing their kit at the beginning of the season and sees a sudden, urgent need for new items, is likely to be a good customer. I can't imagine anyone much wanting to buy in the middle of the season: they've either got their new equipment or resigned themselves to their old equipment and, in either case, they're just getting on with skiing.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

ledge, I don't have a quiver either, but DO have the equivalent in outgrown children's ski wear, and 'wrongly-purchased-by-OH' ski boots Evil or Very Mad to sell. I've started this (on Ebay) already and it's all going, at prices I'm happy with. This IS a bit earlier than I'd usually do it, but I know I'll be busy October/November. If you can, and you are planning on using Ebay, try towards end of October/November. People who are getting excited about their upcoming skiing are - IME - starting to buy then
