Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've got one and love it, however its getting on a bit and the Grey patches on the shoulders, arms and around the zips have started to lfit off and come away
If you arent familar, they are protective pieces which aid the look of the garment
Had a look at it today with a view to sorting them - since SWMBO is a bit of a crafty person, she has numerous tubes of glue and other sticky stuff suitable for things including many different materials and fabrics, thought I should be ok.
After much reading of instructions
got on and tried one that needs heat sealing - as I spoke with the great ladies from Tundra repairs earlier in the week who informed me that these patches were probably fused on and they havent got a machine for this purpose
Well I decided to try something else first and it worked perfectly, it seems I've got a suitable machine fit for the job -a common iron.
Just run a warm iron over the edges with some baking parch between so it doesnt stick, job sorted
Have gone over all edges just to make sure and they are like new.
All done while suffering with manflu too, deffo medal needed I think, or at least a drink
So if you have one of these jackets you now know what to do.
