Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi there

Not sure if this is the right forum to post in but hey ho... Anyone know how long it is to get from Cham to Courmayeur through the tunnel? Once through is it literally on the other side? Where is the best place to park around the resort for a day...

Thx folks

if you go onto google maps and do a search it gives you a very good idea...

Chamonix is basically at one end of the tunnel and Courmayeur at the other end... around 22km in total. 30 mins.

Half an hour, although there are sometimes queues for the tunnel.

There's a massive underground car park by the main cable car, and almost certainly by the other two big lifts as well.

AlpineAddict, If you go for the day from cham its best to park (free) below the first lift you come to, a cable car that gets you right into the system usually with no queues. Its a couple of mile short of the town. If you want to pop into town after skiing, which I would recommend, best to park in the pay multi story (its underground).

Aye, as suggested the lift at Entreves / Val Veny is right at the Courmayeur end of the tunnel and usually provides easier access than the lifts in town. Not really worth going into town after skiing I'd say
