On 10 September 1990, Liam Wright - a 19-year-old skier - was found dead at the artificial ski slope he used to ski. His body was inside the burnt-out remains of a shed at Telford Ski Centre. Twenty years later, the crime remains unsolved.

A woman today took an emotional walk to trace the last steps of her teenage brother who died in a fire in Telford. Deborah Mason was hoping the walk through Madeley would help to find answers after her 19-year-old brother, Liam Wright, died in the blaze. |
An arrest was made two months ago, but the outcome is uncertain. Further report from the Shropshire Star

The below or above thread appears to be in bad taste now - a case of ski burnout indeed. Unlike DG to miss the obvious pun.

Call that a ski murder?
Ted Bundy is your man for ski murders. He did plenty of them. He escaped and went on the run to the top of the slopes in Aspen.
Got fried in the electric chair in Florida in the end. So a great ending to the story too.
Ladies - never help injured men who drive Volkswagen Beetles.

Does sound like it. Let's turn him in, split the reward, and put it towards some new kit.

So over a 20 years period the story could have driven the skiers out of UK into the Alps, ski on real snow, eat their lunches in buildings made of incombustible materials and the nervous ones even switch the pair of skis with a plank now known as the snowboard.
