Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Petite Gervasutti couloir

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
A couple of weeks ago Tim and I had a crack at the Petite Gervasutti couloir on the NE side of the Tour Rond. Here is Tim on the way up the couloir. We skied back past these rocks on the skiers left.

Tim at the top. Check out that snow.

Dropping in. Over to the skiers right is the North Face of the Tour Rond.

Into the couloir proper

Tim ripping it up.

There are more pics and a topo here

philingle, before we get the inevitable round of scab-scratching over camera angles can I just say ‘thank you’ for sharing with us, ski experiences that very, VERY, VERY FEW of us will ever know.

RachelQ, I was thinking along the lines of free skiing off the Aiguille Rouge as a warm-up, followed by a late entry for next week's World Speed Skiing Championships down the Flying Kilometre course?

PG, I ski like that in my dreams!

I remember sitting for hours one year in hot sunshine at the restaurant/bar watching the World speed ski champions come down the Flying Kilometre. I remember getting very sunburnt and quite drunk! Of course, I don't do things like that anymore. wink

Great pics and a top site - you certainly know your code! If I were younger, braver, more adventurous, a better skiier and a fluent French-speaker, I could be living your life. Shocked

Ah, well. Back to work. Sad
