Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looks like a Table d'Orientation - a table which tells you which peaks you're looking at.

If you mean the thing in the middle-ground, rather than the thing in the foreground, looks like a water reservoir for snowmaking.

HI Guys,
Looking at http://www.edenski.com/pages/eden-prix.html for season pass, looks like €680, have I got it wrong...? French not too good!
Has anyone used this? Is it really €680 for full La Plagne / Les Arcs pass (for anyone), or am I a few briquettes short of a barbecue?

Not sure what it is but the main reservoir is to the left further down the valley above 1950. I you look at the zoom in camera just to the left of the Arc 2000 one you can just make it out.

The reservoir in the foreground is the old one. The new one in the distance was built recently to help with increased snow making needs.

Good to see people keeping things updated. Looked great on the web cams again today, just wish I was there.

allanm, yes that is the owners price but it is not worded the same way on the les arcs site. As you say very interesting. I will have a look at it and post again later.

Also for people looking at Insurance, have posted an interesting account of claiming with carte neige on my les arcs facebook info page, link below if anyone wants to read it. Could save you on expensive insurance in the future.

tuxpoo, Are you sure about that? I thought it was available to anybody.

allanm, If you want to buy a cheap paradiski pass for the season just enter your details into the edenski website and see how far you get. It is worth trying as long as you try before 15th November 2010.

allanm, well done for spotting this discount season pass. And you are right it seems to be good.

My friends spoke to them today and it is confirmed that it is the same as the owners pass but for everyone as long as you buy before 15 November. The only difference seems to be the summer pass is not included. They have confimed that it can be used from the funi each day or any other entry point on the paradiski not just La Plagne side. Also they say it starts from the 11th with the funi even though it says 18th on the web site and the same at the end of the season. I hope that is correct. Might ask for confirmation of that by email.

Even so, at that price, anyone coming out for the season, get over to the La Plagne website quick and get your pass. Thanks once more to Allanm for being so alert, I know at least 6 people who will be buying it in the next few days. If you ski in Les Arcs/La Plagne for more than three weeks this season this pass is the one to get. Think I should be on commision.

The link again.

Really? Think it's me that should be on commission!!

Anyway... IF you were planning on getting the Paradiski pass then >= 16 days and it's worth it....

The only thing I don't know is if you get the 'free days' to other resorts. Who cares though?? In three years of having these I've only used one day.

tuxpoo, Your doing the barbecue then... Very Happy

allanm, Are yes maybe we will share the commision, think I have sold another 4 tonight as well and people still asking questions about them.

Yes, you do get the two days in Espace Killy and two days in Three valley and I used them all last season. Makes the pass even better value.

I agree, whoever did the translation got it wrong for him. But I heard they are not putting it out in English!!!! wonder why??? Oh so French Toofy Grin

A nice french girl from work looked at this and had a quick read over on http://www.leforumdeparadiski.fr for me this eventually led her to tell me this was exclusive for APLP members and owners.

If you have now got this from the horses mouth this is a public pass then all is good. I would just advise anyone to get this in writing before signing up to potentially obtaining an owners pass fraudulently.

It looked to me this site was still under development (hence the latin text etc) and maybe they have not coded the correct checks for owners yet.

If this is a public pass then this makes a world of a difference to my potential visits to les arcs. Im just going to make ABSOLUTELY sure this is a public pass before paying out.

One of the guys in our french office (skier) is going to give them a call.

Has anyone actually spoken to them directly on here (not friend of a friend).

It's a drag lift, so those taking air off the new Tunnel Jump will have to spot their landing quite carefully wink

Really tuxpoo, rolling eyes one day you will learn to trust what I post, as soon as Allanm posted about this it was checked out as I said. When I post stuff on here it is as good as from the horses mouth and correct as I do not like to find out I have told people something incorrect. Just like all the other resort updates I have been putting on here earlier in the summer. If I am not sure I will always say so like below about other discounts.

Even better news now as I spoke to the kind lady myself today and not only will it cover the winter months but it will also cover the summer for my biking as well for the whole paradiski which makes it the same as the Les Arcs owners pass and a lot less hassle. I do not understand why Les Arcs are not doing the same thing, but guess I will hear why when I get back there.

My advice to everyone, if you are coming out for more than two weeks in the winter and plan on a week in the summer then this is a great deal. Three weeks in the winter and you are saving even more. You also get the days in the other areas and maybe a discount in La Ros and St Foy, but they cannot confirm this until December.

boarder_s, It seems that the snowpark tow is still ongoing but should be open as long as it passes there safety test. I still think having a tow is a really stupid idea, wish they had just upgraded the chair, but then what do I know!! Toofy Grin

snowcrazy, Im sorry if this rattled you. It just seem to good to be true, so I checked with the horses mouth myself.

I passed this information on to a 3 seasonaires who are on a budget. It was prudent to make sure they didnt end up with hassle once in the resort that stopped them riding until sorted or worse, they had to buy the pass a second time.

tuxpoo, not a problem but you know I always try hard to be sure what I post is correct and I think Allanm would not have risked his money if he was to worried. He did very well to spot that discount. Hope the seasonaires are pleased with the saving. The crazy thing is that the Les Arcs site still does not have it's season passes up yet. Shall have another look tomorrow. Can see them getting lot's of complaints from the French as well now. La Plagne and the other resorts on that side have been selling there passes for a week now. Why no public discount on the Les Arcs side, very strange! Puzzled

Been webcam gazing again. Looks quite wet and snow getting thin again, hope it snows tonight and gets cold again. Only 5 weeks to go. The place is starting to need a base soon.

Just a very quick update on the season pass 'Edenski' .

Just had another email from them:

Hello,

If you buy a season Paradiski:

1: You can use the pass in les Arcs and la Plagne from 11 December but not with the Vanoise express

2: It’s OK for the last week of the season you can ski in la Plagne and Les Arcs but the Vanoise express is closed

3: With a season pass Paradiski you have 2 free days in Espace Killy and 2 free days in 3 Valleys.

4: For the summer it’s only a pass for La Plagne not for Les Arcs.

5: With a season pass Paradiski you have 2 free days in Ste Foy and after you pay the normal price

6: With a season pass Paradiski if you ski to La Rosière the price is 24 € for one day.

We have a technical problems on the web site, and it’s not possible to order now.

We try to find this problem as quickly as possible.

Best regards

Very Happy Think that just about covers everything now. Very Happy Good to have it in written form.

Not good that they will not inculde Les Arcs in the summer, only the La Plagne side, but this seemed to be an issue last year already so I am not surprised.
And the Les Arcs site is still not up. What are they doing over there/Evil or Very Mad
