Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where to go? ValD, Tignes, VT, or elsewhere?

I'm now creating a group for this coming season ski trip, and trying to decide where to go.
We (4 lads) went to Val Thorens and stayed in a dirt cheap apartment (ski in/out) and had a fantastic holiday, so we are looking for much of the same - but would quite like to go to a different resort...

So, my question for you all is where do we go? Initial thoughts are Val D'Isere or Tignes (mainly because I like the skiing at Espace Killy), though I'm open to suggestions! - Again, we would like an apartment thats ski in/out, and close to nightlife.
I think there will be 3 or 4 of us, a couple of intermediate skiers and an advanced.

I look forward to your suggestions!

I'm a biased Tignesophile with a 4 person apartment there so I would suggest....Tignes - it's got the lot!

We're not quite ski in/out - 2 mins from the lifts and also ski back to within 2 mins of the door - but under 5 mins walk from Tignes Val Claret Centre for nightlife and with the (free 24 hr) ski bus to the other bits of Tignes stopping at the door.

PM me if you'd like details - discount prices for fellow Snowheads wink - though prices are already about the cheapest you'll find for Tignes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

aldoyle I would say Tignes over Val D'Isere too as being a little bit more relaxed. However I think the nightlife is better in Val D so it depends on what your ski/drink/dance ratio is going to be. You are more likely to save money in Val Thorens though (although like you I prefer the EK to the 3V).

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I must admit I love Tignes - with it's guaranteed snow (I first went there in 1979). OK - so the buildings / shops are not as nice looking as Val D'Isere - but then ask yourself why you are going there?
