Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mid-late January (TBC) - VT or Val D'Isere or Tignes (TBC) - Who's up for it?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm now trying to organise a small group for this coming season, going for a week either mid or late Jan - the weekend of 15th or weekend of 22nd.

Looking to book flights to Geneva asap to give us a wide choice of resorts, but thinking it will most likely be Val Thorens, Val D'Isere or Tignes.
Will most likely be booking an apartment, size depending on the number / who ends up coming.

So, is there anyone / any single skiers who's looking to get away around this time who'd be up for it!?

Suspected group members will be an early intermediate, an intermediate, and an advanced skier.

Let me know!

Hi, I'd be interested in heading away around then. I'd be an intermediate possibly more on the advance side of. I'm based in so more restricted with airport so Geneva sounds good. Val D'Isere or Tignes sound good, but wouldn't complain at Val Thorens either.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm interested as well. Preference would be Val Thorens as I went to Val D'Isere last year, but not fussy.

41 - Have been skiing about 14 times since I was 20 - I would say i can happily get down pretty much everything but happier on reds and blues. Up for a good laugh and a few beers. (How many is many beers? !)

I have not been to Val D'isere or Tignes before but have skiied in Val Thorens when staying at Les Menuires a few years ago. I think we had a night out up in VT and had a good time up there.

Have you had a look at any chalets as an alternative to an apartment?

35, I'd class myself as a "reasonable intermediate", I can probably ski stuff that's harder than I do but never had the inkling to risk injury (I am a self employed contractor so being off work would be a mare!) Up for many beers, have been to Val D'Isere before, ski'd Morzine/PDS loads, also Austria and Canada.

52, Ski'd for about 12 years, fine on reds and blacks, some off piste, out early back late, like a few beers (but try to avoid hangovers).

Hi

33, been skiing for about 5 years (late starter), I'm not "mr fit" but am a comfortable intermediate skier, I usually Ski in Meribel and Courcheval, so I'm familiar with the area.

I was just about to post something similar for Val Thoren or Les Arc, so I'm definitely up for this and definitely up for some beer - tell me who pay and I'm already there! Toofy Grin

Hi

I'll be staying in Courchevel 1850 from Jan 30th and will be looking for some fun up the hill in VT. I'm 45, intermediate / advanced and would love to get off-piste if the conditions are good... Give us a shout if you are in the 3V at that time.

BTW We're a group of 10 staying at Coq de Bruyere http://www.skitotal.com/AccommodationDetails.aspx?accomId=3016 - its a bit further down the hill but I found the chalet-hotel easy to put a small group into and the catering is usually pretty good in the Ski Total places. The discounts kick in once you get 8 places. Nicer resort than VT too IMO...

Hi Guys

I thought this post was an awesome idea, but since there's been no update, I'm planning to put a group together myself, so could I interest any of you in a trip to Les Arc at the end of January? Check out my post http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?t=68341, I'm looking to get people confirmed up and everything organised in the next couple of weeks.

Let me know..
