Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

boabski, will let you know as the Rosenheimer Herbstfest starts next week and that is seen as the barometer for Weisn Hits! Once it gets to that status you can be sure it will be an Apres Hit in the ski huts, etc!

As long as it isn't that bloody Lena idiot, I'm not really fussed to be honest. I quite like the cheesiness of these songs for some peculiar reason and with a couple of Weisn Maß down your throat, anything is good enough to sway around to while balancing on benches (schmaunkeln is the local term!!!) boabski, clarky999, The Rosenheimer Herbstfest is a local secret and just as good as the Munich affair, if somewhat smaller as there are only 2 breweries in Rosenheim itself. Prices are cheaper and there are way fewer "nasty" drunks. Another bonus is that you rarely have problems finding a table inside or outside the Festzelts.

It is also a non-smoking event as the private breweries in Rosenheim don't carry the same political clout that the Munich guys have. Saying that though they have "volunteered" to go smoke-free a year earlier than they were required to. The cynic in me believes they want to prove that it is unworkable so that they can apply for a permanent exemption from the anti-smoking regulations Evil or Very Mad

I'll let you know what the Wiesn Hit is at the Herbstfest and if it is the same one at the Oktoberfest, then it is a pretty safe bet it will be a Hütten Hit as well Laughing I have to visit the Oktoberfest several times with customers as well as going with my friends and sports teams! It's a hard life, but someone has to do it rolling eyes

Samerberg Sue, Might try that for next year. Hitting the big 40 and was thinking of Oktoberfest could be a good option for a few of the lads heading off for some drunken debauchery (sp?)

Isn't it just.
This here is an example of Bavarian poetry for the German speakers to decode. With a few adjustments this could easily become the apres hit for this year Toofy Grin

Ich wanderte einsam als Wolke.
Dieses schwimmt auf Höhe über Tälern und Hügeln,
als in einem Zug ich eine Masse sah, Eine Last,
der goldenen Narzissen.

Quite lovely.
